This girl. She waited for 3 years before I graduated, had to go through 3 phases of long distance relationship to allow me to fulfill my dream in my career, worked and supported me and the kids when I had no salary and scholarship at the last stage of my training and now, sharing my time for her, our family, patients and work matters. Oh, what can I give you in return. May Allah keep you happy, healthy and safe, always. May Allah grant you and us all husn al khatima and Iman. May
Allah reserve a place for you in Jannah. To this enchanting girl, my best friend, my wife and mother to my children, youre one amazing woman. Happy birthday!
Al-HIjrah
I received a surprise call from TV Al-Hijrah today to feature in their talk show tomorrow morning, asking me to share my 14 years journey of becoming a maxillofacial surgeon. The journalist asked what makes me keep on going... and I told her a cliche answer; there were moments when I have the thoughts of giving up. But during those moments, I always think of the reasons why I should hold on; the nawaitu, parents, teachers and the sacrifices of this strong woman through out that journey.

Doing our things together
Flood relief
Temerloh revisited. How could I not be grateful to Allah for having you with me to experience all these silent unspeakable memories. Humbling. Thank you Hafizah Shariff.
ASTAR Experience
Alhamdulillah. One year in the office. Thank you to the wonderful family of ASTAR, be it the staffs or students. Love every single bit of this unplanned adventure. But it doesnt really matter where youre going; its who you have beside you. And to this one strong woman, I know that sometimes we take the risks of going too far, but I guess thats the only way to find out how far we can go. Youre not only my partner in this adventure but youre actually my favourite adventure, and I cherish it every step of the way.
Groceries
Doing our late Thursday night groceries. I hardly have the time to accompany my wife to do her groceries nowadays. I kinda miss it once in a while, especially the waiting part, for her to finish. So while waiting for my wife in front of the cashier counter, there were few other men, sitting near me, middleaged busy with their phones while elderly reading magazines. Probably all waiting for their partners. Lovely sight but funny in a way.
Well, my wife (girlfriend at that time) graduated in 2001, and I still remember she waited for me at 5th college almost every time she came back from work whenever her audit clients were within UM area. Then, she waited for me for 3 years before I finally graduated in 2004, before we got married. Then, she waited for another 9 years for me to complete my training while juggling between work and family (masha Allah).
I guess in a relationship, waiting reasons are really not that important. And Im sure it goes the same to all these men, including me, waiting outside patiently for our partners. Its not that we love waiting, we just love the person were waiting for.
